VREC exists because real estate recruitment was broken and someone had to fix it.

Our founder TJ started this from his kitchen table because he was sick of watching good agencies get gouged by a recruitment model that was built to make money, not make good hires. Commission breath, inflated fees and candidates chosen because they were available, not because they were right.

TJ has worked in real estate. He knows how these businesses run, what principals actually need and what it costs when the wrong person walks through the door. So he built something different.

VREC is a flat fee subscription because recruitment should be accessible. It should feel like employment, not a transaction. Every placement we make is about fit, not about closing a deal.

VREC is Australia's only specialist real estate recruitment agency operating on a flat fee subscription model. Instead of paying inflated commissions every time you hire, you pay a monthly subscription and a flat placement fee based on salary band. Better service, more predictable costs and no commission breath.

The Freedom Plan is our subscription model. You pay a flat monthly fee to keep us in your corner, and a simple placement fee based on salary band when we place someone. No percentages, no surprises and no being handed off to someone who doesn't know your business. It's recruitment that works like a retainer, not a transaction.

Yes. Not every business is ready for a subscription and that's fine. We offer the same service and the same candidates at a one off placement fee. No discount on the rate but no ongoing commitment either. When you're ready to make it a subscription, we'll be here.

No and we don't play that game. Most recruiters place 40 to 50% of their roles. We average 92%. For that small percentage where we can't find the right person, you're free to use whoever you want. We don't love restrictions and we don't need them. Our results do the talking.

It means we're protecting your investment before you've even started. We don't stack multiple subscribers in the same suburb because that's not fair to anyone on the plan. When a spot opens up you're first in line. Good things are worth waiting for.

Yep. We cut the corners that don't matter. No hour long coffee meetings, no driving across the city to confirm someone can hold a conversation. All of our candidate screening is done by phone or video so we spend time on the stuff that actually counts. The savings go back into keeping the subscription affordable, not into our margin.

Eww. No. Our recruiters place blind. They have no idea whether a role is a replacement or a fresh placement, which means every candidate gets the same attention and the same standard. We're not in the business of padding roles with warm bodies.

Candidates

We wouldn't and frankly we'd deserve to be fired if we did. Every candidate is approached and placed with their full knowledge and consent. We don't send CVs anywhere without a conversation first. Your details are yours and we treat them that way.

OMG. No. Absolutely not. That's not recruitment, that's sabotage. Every candidate conversation is completely confidential. We don't approach your current employer, we don't drop hints and we don't play both sides. That's not how we operate and frankly the thought is foul.

Full control. You tell us who, what and where. Pretty Woman style. We will never send your details anywhere without talking to you first, and if something doesn't feel right we want to know. This is your career and you're in the driver's seat the whole way.

Sure. As long as you're not an axe murderer. There's a pathway for everyone and getting fired isn't the end of the world. Be open and honest with us about what happened and we'll work with it. We've heard it all before and we don't judge.

We vet out the wankers and idiots. Seriously though, we only work with clients whose businesses and cultures we know well. We're not going to sell you a dream and deliver a nightmare. If we don't think it's the right fit we'll tell you straight and keep looking.

That's pretty private. We don't plaster client logos across our website to look legit and we don't need to. Privacy matters to us and it matters to the businesses we work with. If you're a candidate you'll find out who we're working with when it's relevant to you. If you're a client, you already know.

We don't have one. Privacy is a big part of how we operate and honestly nobody has ever taken a good work photo in the history of employment. Our team are really good at what they do and they're more than happy being behind the scenes. Trust us, that's a good thing for everyone.
